Zhang Yuanji and the Publication of The Collected Texts of Classic Opera

张元济是我国著名的出版家,为我国文化出版事业的发展做了大量史诗级的工作。《古本戏曲丛刊》自1954年由郑振铎发起出版,至2021年历时六十余载完成全部出版。张元济在20世纪五六十年代,十分关心《古本戏曲丛刊》的出版工作,并曾校阅《古本戏曲丛刊》部分样章、补充若干珍稀版本。本文就张元济与《古本戏曲丛刊》,系统爬梳、整理相关书信及其他史料,做初步研究,力图对张元济研究能有所补充。

Zhang Yuanji was a famous publisher in China who has contributed significantly to the development of China s cultural publishing industry.Zheng Zhenduo started publishing The Collected Texts of Classic Opera in 1954 and it took more than 60 years to finish publishing.Zhang Yuanji paid much attention to the publication of the series in the 1950s and 1960s.He proofread some of the sample chapters,and even supplemented some rare editions of operas.This article conducts a preliminary study on Zhang Yuanji and The Collected Texts of Classic Opera in an effort to further the study of Zhang Yuanji by systematically combing and organizing relevant letters and other historical materials.
