With the continuous development of China’s social economy and the rapid improvement of the economic level of animal husbandry in pastoral areas, the consumption level of herdsmen is increasing, and the number of municipal solid waste in pastoral areas is also increasing day by day. This will have a great impact on the lives of herdsmen and animal husbandry. In order to effectively control municipal solid waste in pastoral areas,S Sumu is taken as an example to study the status quo of municipal solid waste treatment in pastoral areas.Through the analysis of the present situation,it is pointed out that the infrastructure supply of municipal solid waste collection in pastoral areas is insufficient, the conditions of garbage disposal facilities are backward, the treatment methods are lack of safety, the propaganda work of environmental protection is not in place, and the awareness of herdsmen to environmental protection is weak. The main body of garbage management is single and so on.In view of this, the optimization strategy of cooperative treatment of municipal solid waste in pastoral areas is put forward. It is suggested that multiple subjects should coordinate the management of municipal solid waste in pastoral areas, actively cooperate with each other, and give full play to the role of each subject and coordinate initiative,so as to comprehensively improve the level and quality of municipal solid waste management in pastoral areas, and promote the effectiveness of municipal solid waste management in Sumu and Gegacha.
