CAFTA Rules of Origin, Firms' Import of Inputs and Export of Final Goods

该文以中国工业企业为研究对象,基于产品间投入产出关系,综合讨论了CAFTA原产地规则对企业贸易行为的影响。研究发现CAFTA原产地规则的实施会使得中国企业的区域内投入品进口增加,并因此对其后续的区域内最终品出口产生抑制效应,且该效应会受到区域内贸易优惠、企业特征、贸易类型等因素的影响。区域价值链并未在该规则影响下形成完整闭环,过于宽泛的规则设定或为主要制约因素。

This paper mainly discusses the impact of CAFTA rules of origin on Chinese industrial firms'trade behavior based on the inter-product input-output relationship.Results show that the implementation of CAFTA rules of origin can bring an increase to Chinese firms'intra-regional imports and therefore pose a suppressive effect on their subsequent intra-regional exports of final goods.Further,this effect can be affected by intra-regional preference margins of trade,firm characteristics,and trade types.The regional value chain is not completely constructed under the influence of this rule,and the overly broad rule provisions could be the main constraint.
