Laser selective melting forming technology is one of the important metal additive manufacturing technologies.It has the advantages of high strength,good plasticity,high dimensional accuracy and excellent surface quality.It has become one of the important technologies for efficient manufacturing of large metal parts.This paper describes the research progress of SLM technology in large metal parts and summarizes its future development trend.
