区域国别学的内核与学科边界

Core and Boundary of Country and Area Studies

自区域国别学被纳入交叉学科一级学科目录以来,学界对区域国别学的学科建设展开大讨论。区域国别学内涵,即学科内核,以及区域国别学外延,即学科边界,是区域国别学学科建设的两个重要问题。本文尝试提出区域国别学的核心研究要素,即“以国别和区域为研究对象的一种科学学科”。区域国别学学科建设目前的急迫任务不是尽快形成明确的学科边界,而是要全力突破既有相关传统学科的学科边界,按照交叉学科建设的三大目标要求,打造知识体系、育人体系、资政体系“三位一体”的学术生长平台。现阶段,在外国语言文学、政治学、历史学等学科基础上建设区域国别学,是一种中国哲学社会科学处于从大到强、从分到合大转型趋势下对外部世界研究领域正本溯源的战略决策。从立足问题意识到研究自觉,到单一学科,再到学科交叉,中国的国别和区域研究不断完成不同时代赋予的职责使命,以经世致用之学解决国家面对的问题,并最终完成从学科到学问的嬗变。

Since Country and Area Studies was included in the first level interdisciplinary subject categories of State Council Academic Degree Committee(SCADC),the academic circles have launched a great discussion on the disciplinary development of Country and Area Studies.The core and boundary of Country and Area Studies are the two important topics for this disciplinary development.This paper attempts to propose the core research elements of Country and Area Studies,i.e.,“a scientific discipline with countries and area as the research objects”.However,the urgent task for the disciplinary development is not to form a clear boundary as soon as possible,but to make every effort to break through the discipline boundary of existing relevant traditional disciplines,and build an academic growth platform of the“Trinity”of the knowledge system,the education system,and the policy consulting system according to the three objectives of interdisciplinary development.At this stage,the development of Country and Area Studies based on foreign language,literature,political science,history,and other disciplines is a strategic decision to trace the origin of the research field of the external world in the transformation of Chinese philosophy and social science.From problem awareness to research consciousness,from a single discipline to interdisciplinary studies,China’s Country and Area Studies has continuously fulfilled the responsibilities and missions assigned by different times,solved the problems the country confronted with practical knowledge,and finally completed the transformation from discipline to learning.
