The present paper argues that the publication of posthumous works of Liu Lin, who was senior minister of Jiajing reign and lived in Huzhou for quite a long time, convincingly affirmed the interrelationship of Liu and Huzhou and catered for the local endeavor to preserve the indigenous literature. Moreover, it points out that this publication endeavor reflected the increased indigenization of nonnative scholars in Huzhou.
