Spinocerebellar ataxias(SCAs)is a group of autosomal dominant neurodegenerative diseases characterized by multiple manifestations such as late-onset ataxia. Its typical clinical feature is progressive ataxia, which can lead to severe disability and premature death.Motor symptoms such as ataxia have been widely concerned by neurologists, but the non-motor symptoms of SCAs are often ignored. Some common characteristics of non-motor symptoms and their impact on the quality of life in patients with SCAs were described and discussed to improve the understanding and diagnosis of the disease.
