摘要
本研究基于对103名英语专业二年级学生的调查,通过结构方程建模的方法探究了二语坚毅对其交际意愿的影响以及外语愉悦与焦虑的中介作用。结果显示:1)二语坚毅中的坚持不懈的努力与始终如一的兴趣、外语愉悦与交际意愿显著正相关,焦虑与之显著负相关;2)学习者坚持不懈的努力对交际意愿具有直接预测作用;3)坚持不懈的努力和始终如一的兴趣均经由外语愉悦和焦虑的平行中介对交际意愿产生间接影响,从而总结出二语坚毅通过外语情绪间接影响交际意愿的关系链。研究结果可以为二语交际意愿的提升与培养提供研究启示与实践指导。
Using structural equation modeling, the questionnaire study investigated the role of L2grit in L2 willingness to communicate(WTC) among 103 Chinese English major students. Foreign language enjoyment(FLE) and anxiety(FLA) were also examined as potential mediators. The results revealed that: 1) two subcomponents of L2 grit(perseverance of effort, PE, and consistency of interest, CI) and FLE had positive and statistical associations with L2 WTC, whereas FLA was found to share a negative and statistical association with L2 WTC;2) PE of L2 grit served as the statistical predictor of L2 WTC, rather than CI;and 3) both FLE and FLA played mediating roles in the interactions between PE and CI and L2 WTC. The findings can provide theoretical implications as well as practical guidance for L2 WTC research and cultivation.
