区域文化和文化互鉴背景下菲律宾地名的汉译策略探究

地名是语言的符号,语言是文化的符号,因此地名本身就是一种文化。翻译地名时,译者须考虑原地名国家的区域文化及不同区域间文化交流带来的深刻影响。目前,我国对菲律宾地名的研究较少,地名译名还有待规范。文章强调区域文化和文化互鉴对地名翻译的重要性,旨在从区域文化和文化互鉴背景下探讨菲律宾地名汉译应遵循的翻译原则和策略。

Geographical name is a symbol of language which is a symbol of culture. Therefore, geographical name itself is a kind of culture. When translating, the deep impression of regional culture and culture exchange between different regions should be much concerned. At present, the research on Philippine geographical name is few, and the translation of it should be more formal. Hence, this paper emphasizes on the importance of regional culture and mutual learning so as to seek out the Philippine-Chinese translation principles and strategies of Philippine geographical name.
