收入不平等与碳排放——基于城市碳排放数据

Income Inequality and Carbon Emissions:Based on Data of Urban Carbon Emissions

近些年,收入不平等和碳排放已经成为中国经济成长的烦恼,为了解收入分配与碳排放的关系,选取中国203个城市在2010—2019年的碳排放数据,考察收入不平等对碳排放的影响。研究表明,收入不平等对碳排放具有负面影响,区域内收入不平等的程度越高,人均碳排放量越大,碳排放强度越高。区域异质性分析结果则表明,在经济不发达地区和收入差距大的地区,收入不平等会导致碳排放增加;但在经济发达地区和收入差距小的地区,收入不平等对碳排放的影响并不明显。这为我国实现低碳转型和共同富裕提供了政策参考。

In recent years, income inequality and carbon emissions have become the worries of China’s economic growth. To understand the relationship between the income distribution and the carbon emissions, this paper selected the carbon emission data of 203 cities in China from 2010 to 2019 to examine the impact of income inequality on the carbon emissions. The results show that the income inequality has a negative impact on the carbon emissions. The higher the degree of income inequality in the region, the greater the per capita carbon emissions, and the higher the carbon emission intensity. Regional heterogeneity shows that the income inequality has a more significant impact on the carbon emissions in economically underdeveloped regions and high-income gap regions, but it has no significant impact on the carbon emissions in economically developed regions and low-income gap regions. This research provides policy reference for China to achieve low-carbon transformation and common prosperity.
