试论中医典籍英译中话语杂合与文化自信的建构路径

Construction Pathway of Discourse Hybridity and Cultural Confidence in the Translation of TCM Classics

中医药话语文化自信在促进中医药国际传播,争取国际话语权以及应对异质文化冲击与促进文化融合方面有着重要的战略意义。中医药翻译研究基于当下“文化自信”的时代背景从语言的意义、形态、用法及文化内涵等层面深入探讨“融合”的过程与机制。本文通过引介哈佛大学教授霍米·巴巴提出的“文化杂合”理论,指导译者分别从“语义协商”“音形杂合”“求同存异”及“他者保留”等文内与文外四个维度实现英汉话语及文化之间的“碰撞、协商与交融”。研究表明,话语杂合现象赋予翻译原则、手段及进程崭新的意义与功能,使中医典籍译文彰显出文化自信与兼容并包的典型特点,进而与西医为主导的现代医学共同构建出多元共存的国际医学文化格局。

The self-confidence of Chinese medicine discourse culture has important strategic significance in promoting the international dissemination of Chinese medicine,fighting for international discourse power,responding to the impact of heterogeneous culture and promoting cultural integration.Based on the current background of"cultural confidence",translation research explores the process and mechanism of"hybridity"from the aspects of language meaning,form,usage and cultural connotation.According to the theory of"cultural hybridity"proposed by Homi Bhabha,this article guides translators to realize the"semantic negotiation""phonological hybridization""seeking common ground while reserving differences"and"reserving otherness"in the textual and non-textual respects.The"collision,negotiation and fusion"give new meanings and functions to translation methods,demonstrating the typical characteristics of cultural confidence and inclusiveness and constructing an international medical cultural pattern with modern medicine.
