A group of educated youths left Beijing to live and settle in the countryside of Chilechuan,Inner Mongolia.The natural environment and local customs nurtured them,and the Mongolian people’s hospitality and forgiveness dispelled the simple,rough and rigid thinking of these youths.Their dogmatic thinking mode and utopian fantasy have given way to the simple and clear awareness of daily life,which is their spiritual transformation.The harsh environment and intimate relationships have prompted their self-redemption.This novel may not be eye-catching among its peers,but its profound and unique historical reflection is thought-provoking.
