The play“Drama:Eileen Chang”was created by Zhejiang Song and Dance Theater from the Zhejiang Drama Ensemble to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of the legendary female writer Eileen Chang,who curiously is more famous around the world as a fashion symbol of modern Shanghai than as a writer.It is rare in the history of modern Chinese literature that a writer could transcend their works and become a cultural icon that lasts for generations.
