俄罗斯俄侨中国学家B.B.恩格尔菲尔德是俄国研究中国法方向的杰出学者之一。1920年,为研究中国法这一课题从符拉迪沃斯托克来到中国,并开展一系列有关的学术研究活动。1923—1937年侨居哈尔滨期间,曾担任哈尔滨首个俄罗斯法学高等教育机构——哈尔滨法政大学教授兼系主任,为20世纪上半叶的中俄法学、中俄文化及中俄关系的发展做出卓越贡献,并为中俄两国培养了一大批法学人才。根据俄罗斯档案馆、美国夏威夷大学、斯坦福大学及旧金山俄罗斯文化博物馆保存的档案资料,探索俄罗斯法学家恩格尔菲尔德的生平及其在中国的学术活动。

V.V.Engelfeld,a Russian Chinese scholar,is one of outstanding scholars in the field of Chinese law in Russia.In 1920,he came to China from Vladivostok to study the subject of Chinese law and carried out a series of related academic research activities.While living in Harbin from 1923 to 1937,he served as the professor and dean of the Harbin University of Law and Political Science,the first Russian higher education institution of law in Harbin.He made outstanding contributions for the development of Sino-Russian law,Sino-Russian culture and Sino-Russian relations in the first half of the 20th century and trained a large number of legal talents for China and Russia.Based on the archives preserved by the Russian Archives,the University of Hawaii,Stanford University and the San Francisco Russian Culture Museum,this paper explores the life of the Russian jurist Engelfeld and his academic activities in China.
