An Analysis of the Truthfulness of Jia Yi's Political Thoughts

贾谊的政治思想最有深度的是他关于秦朝二世而亡教训的总结和重民思想。关于前者,贾谊提出,秦朝速亡除了严刑酷法,滥用民力,还在于秦统治者不懂得政治方略的转换,以武力夺取政权后没有进行政治调节和社会整合。关于后者,贾谊总结了历史教训,认为民为政治之本,统治者不可与民为敌,否则必败。贾谊政治思想具有历史合理性,作为中华优秀传统文化的重要组成部分,具有当代借鉴意义。

Jia Yi's most profound political thoughts are the lessons he drew from Qin's collapse after two emperors and his emphasis on the people.In regard to the former,Jia Yi pointed out that besides severe penalties and manpower abuse,Qin's collapse also lied in that the rulers,without the knowledge of transforming political strategies,failed to make political adjustment and social integration.As to the latter,Jia Yi concluded historical lessons and held that the people are the foundation of politics,and the ruler mustn't be against them,or else failure would most certainly fall.Jia Yi's political thoughts have historical rationality,and as an important part of the traditional Chinese culture,are of contemporary referential significance.
