《大金西京武州山重修大石窟寺碑》立碑时间发微

Discussion on the date of the Stele for Rebuilding the Grand Grotto Temple on Wuzhou Mountain in Western Capital of Great Jin

《大金西京武州山重修大石窟寺碑》是研究云冈石窟的重要文献,原石碑早已不存,碑文幸存于清人传抄的《永乐大典》天字韵《顺天府》条引《析津志》文中。碑文为皇统七年(1147年)曹衍撰写,但这并不是立碑时间。从碑文中避金世宗及“寿昌”讳,以及出现了“经武将军”这一武散官名称,可以判断立碑时间在金世宗大定十四年(1174年)三月改名完颜雍至明昌初年之间。

The Stele to Rebuild the Grand Grotto Temple on Wuzhou Mountain in Western Capital of Great Jin is an important document for studying Yungang Grottoes.The original stone stele has long been lost,but the inscription was kept in the article entitled“Annals of Beijing”,which was copied in the Qing Dynasty.The inscription was written by Cao Yan in the seventh year of Huangtong reign(1147),but acturally it is not the time that the stele erect.It could be concluded that the stele was erected between the March of the 14th year of Dading reign(1174)of Jin Shizong and the beginning of Mingchang reign,because there are the avoidance of the taboo of emperor Jin Shizong and“Shouchang”,as well the appearing of the rank title“Jingwu General”in the inscription.
