Bacterial cellulose(BC)or bacterial nanocellulose(BNC)is an advanced bio-based nanomaterial.This paper discusses in detail its unique structure,excellent physical,chemical properties and biological characteristics,existing application limitations and technical countermeasures to overcome the limitations and its application progress in the papermaking industry.
