葛浩文英译《师傅越来越幽默》的生态补偿研究

On the Ecological Compensation of Howard Goldblatt's Translation of Shifu,You'll Do Anything for A Laugh

社会、文化、语言环境等因素的差异造成了翻译的损失,因此适当的翻译补偿是尽可能再现原作的必要手段。文章依托生态翻译理论,评析葛译版《师傅越来越幽默》中的翻译补偿策略,发现译者在翻译过程中需要对小说的翻译生态环境进行充分的适应,并在此基础上,从语言生态、文化生态和交际生态三个维度来修补文本移植过程中的信息缺失,以实现原语生态和译语生态的相对平衡。

Translation loss occurs due to disparities in diverse social,cultural,linguistic environments,as well as other variables.Therefore,appropriate translation compensation is a necessary means to reproduce the original text as much as possible.According to principles of the eco-translatology,this study examines the translation compensation in Howard Goldblatt's version of Shifu,you'll do anything for a laugh,and finds that the translator needs to fully adapt to the novel's translational eco-environment,and fill the information gap in the text transplanting process from the three dimensions of language ecology,cultural ecology,and communication ecology,so as to achieve a relative balance between the original language ecology and the target language ecology.
