南极海底地名命名研究进展

Research progress on the naming of Antarctic undersea feature names

随着多波束等海底探测技术的迅速发展,大量新的海底地理实体被发现并命名,海底地名命名活动日益活跃。近年来,越来越多国家的海底地名命名活动由深海大洋向两极拓展,尤其是南极,因其特殊的地理位置和资源环境,开展精细化海底调查并命名新发现的南极海底地理实体已成为一些国家未来“主张”或“拓展”其南极海洋权益的重要手段。本文针对南极海底地名命名的现状,对其管理情况、命名规则情况以及各国命名发展趋势进行了总结分析,在此基础上结合我国南极海底地名命名的实际提出了相关发展建议,为进一步彰显我国对南极事务的贡献提供有效手段。

With the rapid development of seabed exploration technologies such as multi-beam echo sounders,a large number of new undersea features have been discovered and named,and there is increasing activity in terms of the naming of undersea features.In recent years,growing number of countries have expanded the naming of undersea features from the deep ocean to the poles,especially the Antarctic.Because of the Antarctic’s special geographical location and resource environment,seabed exploration and the naming of newly discovered undersea features have become important means for some countries to“claim”or“expand”their Antarctic marine rights.This paper summarizes and analyzes the management,naming rules and development trends of Antarctic undersea feature names.On this basis,combined with the actual situation of the naming of Antarctic undersea features in China,this paper puts forward relevant development suggestions that provide an effective means to further highlight China’s contribution to Antarctic affairs.
