2022年11月,中国与东盟共同宣布正式启动自贸区3.0版谈判,谈判将涵盖数字经济、绿色经济、供应链、竞争力、保护消费者、中小微型企业等领域的合作,将进一步激发双向贸易投资潜能,双方产业链、供应链、价值链合作将进一步深化,自贸区带动地区经济增长的引领和示范作用将愈发凸显。

The China-ASEAN Free Trade Area is the first free trade agreement negotiated by China andthe first negotiated by ASEAN as a whole. The year 2023 will mark the 13th anniversary ofthe establishment of the China-Asean Free Trade Area. In November 2022, China and ASEANjointly announced the official launch of negotiations on version 3.0 of the FTA, which will covercooperation in digital economy, green economy, supply chain, competitiveness, consumerprotection, small, medium and micro enterprises, further stimulate two-way trade andinvestment potential, and further deepen cooperation in industrial, supply and value chains.The free trade area will play a leading and exemplary role in driving regional economic growth.China has been ASEAN's largest trading partner since 2009. ASEAN has been China's largesttrading partner every year since 2020. In 2022, in particular, the growth rate of China-ASEANtrade reached 11.2% year-on-year, 6.8 percentage points higher than the overall growth rate ofChina's foreign trade in that year, becoming an important engine driving the steady growth ofChina's foreign trade.
