摘要
《子夜》的创作与茅盾1920-1930年代的文艺批评活动有着深刻的精神关联。从1920年代开始,茅盾就在文艺批评领域崭露头角,他积极探索中国文学与社会现实之间的关联,逐渐表现出引导时代文艺思潮的自觉意识。并且,茅盾还在研究小说创作的理论专著中深入探讨了小说创作与时代社会之间的内在联系。纵观茅盾在1920-1930年代的文艺批评活动可以发现,他呼唤作家在创作中表现时代社会的文艺思想贯穿始终。这种文艺思想不仅表现在其文艺批评方面,还渗透到他的小说创作过程之中。《子夜》标志着这种文艺思想的成熟。考察茅盾在这一历史时期的文艺思想与小说创作之间的内在关联,有助于厘清茅盾的文艺实践活动是如何影响到《子夜》的创作的。
The creation of Midnight has a profound spiritual connection with Mao Dun's literary criticism in 1920s and 1930s.Since 1920s,Mao Dun has made his mark in the field of literary criticism,actively exploring the relationship between Chinese literature and social reality,and gradually showing a conscious awareness of guiding the literary trend of the times.In addition,in his theoretical monograph on novel creation,Mao Dun explores the inner connection between novel creation and the society of the times.A general survey of Mao Dun's literary criticism in 1920s and 1930s reveals that he runs through the literary thoughts of the times and society in his works.This kind of literary and artistic thought not only displays in his literary and artistic criticism aspect,but also permeates in his novel creation process.The appearance of Midnight indicates the maturity of this kind of literary and artistic thought.An examination of the internal relationship between Mao Dun's literary thoughts and his novel creation in this historical period will help to clarify how Mao Dun's literary and artistic influence the creation of Midnight.
