As a special form of film,red movies are concomitant with China's national rejuvenation,which is one of the important propaganda tools to express and spread national ideology,and its ideological expression is of great significance to the guidance of value concept of college students.During the great course of revolution,construction and reform in China,red movies show a powerful ideological guidance function,which not only embodies the profound historical accumulation of the revolutionary era,but also shows the high spirit of the new era.However,the ideological expression of red movies in the new era,the civilian perspective of characterization,and the prominence and manifestation of aesthetic value are facing difficulties in guiding college students'correct values,which need to be broken through.Therefore,effective strategies should be adopted in the ways,methods and contents of ideological expression of red movies,so as to continuously enhance their influence and appeal to college students.
