An Investigation and Comparison of Function Words and Relevant Parts of Speech in Guodian Chu Bamboo Slips

研究郭店楚简虚词及其在语法史中的发展阶段,可以更精确地解释文献内容。为此全面梳理郭店楚简词类,把虚词分为介词、连词、结构助词和语气词,描述其语法功能和语法意义,呈现郭店楚简虚词框架,为语法研究提供资料。从所处结构、意义等方面对介词与动词,单音连词与相关词类,结构助词与代词作共时的比较分析,说明双音连词的性质及成因,以厘清虚词用法,为考察词和词类的演变提供线索。

The research on the functional words in Guodian Chu bamboo slips and their stage in history of grammar is beneficial to a more exact interpretation of the contents of literature.In order to conduct a thoroughgoing investigation of the functional words in Guodian Chu bamboo slips,we have classified functional words from their grammatical functions and meanings into prepositions,conjunctions,structural auxiliaries,and discourse markers,to present the framework thereof and grammar research materials.A synchronic comparative analysis has been made on prepositions and verbs,monosyllabic conjunctions and relevant parts of speech,and structural auxiliaries and pronouns based on their structures and meanings to expound the properties and causes of disyllabic conjunctions.In doing so,the usage of function words is clarified in providing clues for the research on the development and evolution of functional words.
