Global trend in osteonecrosis of the femoral head research from 2003 to 2022

目的:分析2003—2022年全球范围内股骨头坏死的相关研究现状,并预测未来可能的发展趋势。方法:从Web of Science(WoS)数据库中检索2003年1月至2022年12月发表的与股骨头坏死相关的文献,使用Microsoft Office Excel 2019和文献计量在线分析平台进行统计分析,并采用VOSviewer1.6.15进行文献可视化分析。结果:共检索到4155篇文献,其中研究类文献3738篇,综述类文献417篇。全球股骨头坏死领域文献数量呈逐年波动性增加趋势;中国是发表该领域文献数量最多的国家,但文献的平均引用量相对较低;美国为发表股骨头坏死相关文献总引用量最高的国家,且中美两国间的相互合作较多;Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research刊载的文献数量最多,共有150篇;上海交通大学发表130篇,是发表文献数量最多的机构;Takuya Yamamoto教授是发表文献数量最多的研究者。在共现分析中,股骨头坏死相关的关键词可分为4类:坏死机制研究、治疗方式研究、晚期并发症研究和病因学研究。结论:随着股骨头坏死发病率和患病人数的增加,未来10年内股骨头坏死的发文量可能会继续增加;股骨头坏死机制及治疗方法的研究仍然是未来重要的研究内容,尤以非创性股骨头坏死的机制研究最为突出。

Objective:To analyze the current status of research related to osteonecrosis of the femoral head(ONFH)worldwide from 2003 to 2022 by bibliometric and visualization methods,and forecast the potential future trends.Methods:All articles related to ONFH published between January 2003 and December 2022 in Web of Science(WoS)were searched,and Microsoft Office Excel 2019 and the Online Analysis Platform of Literature Metrology were used for statistical analysis and VOSviewer 1.6.15 was used for literature visualization analysis.Results:A total of 4155 articles were retrieved,of which 3738 were research articles and 417 were review articles.The number of literatures in the field of ONFH fluctuated year over year and showed an increasing trend in the world;China had the highest number of literatures in this field,but their average number of citations was comparatively low;the United States was the country with the highest total citation of published ONFH-related articles,and there was more mutual cooperation between China and the United States;the journal Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research had the most articles related to ONFH,that of 150 articles;Shanghai Jiao Tong University was the institution with the most ONFH-related articles published,that of 130 articles;Prof.Takuya Yamamoto was the researcher who had the most ONFH-related articles published.In the co-occurrence analysis,all keywords for ONFH can be divided into 4 categories:research on necrosis mechanisms,treatment modalities,late complications and etiology.Conclusions:Research on the mechanism and treatment of femoral head necrosis remains an important future research component,especially with non-traumatic femoral head necrosis mechanism research as the focus,due to the rising incidence and number of patients with ONFH and the increased emphasis on health,which will likely lead to an increase in the number of ONFH literatures over the next ten years.
