文化距离对中国出版物出口贸易效率的影响--来自“一带一路”沿线国家的证据

Impacts of Cultural Distances on the Publication Export Trade Efficiency in China——Evidence from Countries along “The Belt and Road”

基于2009—2020年中国对“一带一路”沿线36个国家出版物出口数据,借助Hofstede发布的文化维度测算国家间的文化距离,利用随机前沿引力模型测算出口贸易效率,分析文化距离对中国出版物出口的影响。研究结果显示,文化距离对中国出版物出口贸易效率有明显阻碍,贸易国经济规模、政府效率、贸易自由度等对中国出版物出口贸易效率有促进作用;“一带一路”倡议加剧了文化距离对中国出版物出口贸易效率的阻碍作用;与东盟国家相比,文化距离对出口欧洲国家贸易的阻碍更为明显;出口效率和潜力呈现出显著的地域性和不平衡性,东盟国家贸易效率处于最高水平,而独联体国家平均贸易效率较低。

Based on Chinese publication export data of 36 countries along“The Belt and Road”from 2009 to 2020,a cultural distance in this paper is calculated by the cultural dimension released by Hofstede.Export trade efficiency is measured by the stochastic frontier gravity model.This paper then analyzes the impacts of cultural distance on the export trade efficiency.Results show that there is a strong and obvious hindrance of cultural distance to the efficiency of China’s publication export trade efficiency.Export trade efficiency is positively promoted by GDPs,government efficiency and trade freedom.“The Belt and Road Initiative”has intensified the hindrance effect of cultural distance on export trade efficiency.Compared with ASEAN,cultural distance more obviously hinders the export trade efficiency to European countries.Export efficiency and potential indicate a remarkable regional and imbalanced feature.The TE in ASEAN is at the highest level,while the average TE in CIS is low.
