元话语研究的常思路与新议题:文献计量与学科阐释

Common Threads and Emerging Themes of Metadiscourse Research:Bibliometric and Disciplinary Analysis

元话语,泛指表述话语的话语,是作者组织语篇、表达态度与评价、构建与读者互动的重要资源。元话语一直是话语分析、语用学和外语教育的研究焦点。为了把握元话语研究的脉络与热点,本文对近三十五年的相关研究进行文献计量与学科阐释,提取和梳理高频话题、人物与文献。结果表明,学界不断通过语步、体裁、互动、身份与学科等视角解释元话语使用的社会建构属性,持续进行广泛的理论摸索,寻求建立稳定可行的分析框架。总体而言,本文为追踪元话语的常命题和新议题提供借鉴与参考。

Metadiscourse,referring to discourse about discourse,is important resources writers use to organize texts,express authorial stance and build social interaction with readers.Thus metadiscourse has been a key aspect of research in discourse analysis,pragmatics and language education.In order to better understand the development and foci of metadiscourse research,this study tracked the literature in recent 35 years by bibliometric and disciplinary analysis,and identified and mapped out key topics,authors,and publications.The results show that moves,genre,interaction,identity and disciplines are prominently thematized in the exploration of how metadiscourse mediate social interaction,and efforts have been made to establish a robust theoretical and analytical framework.In all,this paper offers certain insights into the common threads and emerging themes of metadiscourse research.
