“世界动物节”在近代中国的宣传与纪念

The Promotion and Commemoration of“World Animal Day”in Early Modern China

近代中国保护动物运动的兴起,始于1934年世界动物节的宣传与纪念。但在此之前,被称为“现代女界中的奇杰”的吕碧城就在报刊上对包括世界动物节在内的欧美保护动物运动,进行过介绍与宣传。中国保护动物会成立之后,积极动员,精心筹备,连年举办了纪念世界动物节等一系列丰富多彩的活动,与吕碧城的介绍与宣传交相辉映,使国人受到了动物保护的近代思想启蒙,保护动物运动由此在中国发端。这从一个侧面体现了近代中国从传统走向现代,以及部分国人逐步走向世界的新趋向。

The rise of the animal protection movement in early modern China began with the publicity and commem⁃oration of World Animal Day in 1934.However,before that,LüBicheng,the“Remarkably Outstanding Woman in the Modern Feminine World”,had already introduced and publicized the movement to protect ani⁃mals in Europe and the United States,including World Animal Day.After the establishment of China's Animal Protection Society,it actively mobilized,meticulously prepared,and held a series of colorful activities to com⁃memorate World Animal Day annually for many years.All the activities enlightened the Chinese people's mod⁃ern ideology of protecting animals,which starts the animals protection movement in China.These activates par⁃tially reflects the new trend of modern China from tradition to modernity,leading some people gradually going outside to the world.
