Medical Case by Traditional Chinese Medicine Master LYU Renhe in Treating Urinary Tract Irritation Caused by Postoperative Chemotherapy of Bladder Cancer

One medical case by traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)master LYU Renhe in treating urinary tract irritation caused by postoperative chemotherapy of bladder cancer was introduced.Professor LYU Renhe applied six ways of diagnosis and treatment for this disease.According to the disease condition of patients,he chooses appropriate formulas and medicinals to treat both the branch and root with flexibility.Generally,the treatment methods are reinforcing healthy qi and eliminating accumulation,activating blood and resolving stasis to stop bleeding,clearing and draining damp heat in the lower energizer,invigorating spleen and benefiting kidneys,with protecting spleen and stomach throughout the treatment.Despite the light dose of prescription,the efficacy was obvious,and the patient was significant relieved from painful side effects due to postoperative chemotherapy of bladder cancer,with improved quality of life.This case reflects his goal of“promoting health and longevity”,and the academic thought of“inheriting for application and absorbing to improve”.
