英汉语言文化差异及翻译策略研究

A Study of the Differences Between English and Chinese Languages and Translation Strategies

语言是文化的一种反映,是文化的重要组成部分。英语和汉语都有悠久的文化传统,表达形式上也都比较丰富,但是由于中西方文化背景的不同,分属不同语系的英语和汉语在词汇组成、句子表达、语篇结构等方面存在一定差异。在英汉互译过程中,要做到准确地把原作内容生动得体、言简意赅地翻译成另外一种语言,需要译者了解英汉语言在词汇、语句表达等方面的一些差异,了解中西方文化差异,并且对英汉语言的表达形式及文化内涵有深刻理解,灵活运用英汉翻译中的一些技巧,使译文既忠于原文,又行文更流畅。

Language is a reflection of culture and an important component of culture.Both English and Chinese have a long cultural tradition and rich expressions.However,due to the differences in cultural backgrounds between China and the West,English and Chinese belonging to different language families have certain differences in vocabulary composition,sentence expression,discourse structure,and other aspects.In the process of English-Chinese translation,in order to accurately translate the original text into another language with vivid,appropriate,concise and comprehensive content,it is necessary for the translator to understand some differences between English and Chinese languages in terms of vocabulary,sentence expression,and other aspects,understand the cultural differences between China and the West,and have a deep understanding of the expression forms and cultural connotations of English and Chinese languages,and flexibly use some techniques in English-Chinese translation to make the translation not only faithful to the original text,but also more fluent in writing.
