From the perspective of New Descriptivism,Professor Shi Jun’s newlypublished monographA Study of Yuwu Dialectsdescribes in great detail the phonetic,lexical,and grammatical phenomena of Yiwu Dialects,covering the phonological system,homophony syllabary,phonological comparison,classified vocabulary,an overview of the grammar,etc.It is the most comprehensive and systematic research report on Yiwu dialects.The book is well elaborated,exceeding the vast majority of oneplace study.
