语法隐喻视域下埃德加·爱伦·坡诗歌研究

A Study of Edgar Allan Poe’s Poetry in the Perspective of Grammatical Metaphor

语法隐喻是系统功能语言学的重要理论创新,具有厚重的理论价值和宽广的应用场域,但在文学语篇分析中的功能和作用尚未得到充分探索。为探索语法隐喻在文学语篇分析中的应用,文章使用UAM Corpus Tool语料标注软件,对爱伦·坡的64首诗歌进行了语法隐喻的分类标注和统计,发现语法隐喻在诗歌中也是常见现象,且具有调节音律、融合主题和增强意境的作用,有潜力成为模糊修辞学研究中的有力工具,并为文学作品的语言学分析提供一条跨学科路径。

Grammatical metaphor is an important theoretical innovation in systemic functional linguistics,which has a strong theoretical value and a wide field of application,but its functions and roles in literary discourse have not been fully explored.To explore how grammatical metaphor functions in literary discourse,this paper uses the UAM Corpus Tool corpus annotation software to classify and count grammatical metaphors in 64 Edgar Allan Poe’s poems.According to the analysis,grammatical metaphor is also a common phenomenon in poetry with such functions as regulating rhythm,integrating theme and enhancing mood.Furthermore,it has the potential to become a powerful tool in the study of vague rhetoric,thus providing an interdisciplinary path for the linguistic analysis of literary works.
