China's Xinjiang's Purchase of Road Rollers from Germany in the 1930s—A Study Based on German Archival Documents

限于资料,民国时期中国新疆与德国经贸合作的研究不多。文章通过挖掘德国原始档案及相关史料,以1930年代中国新疆购买德国压路机的这个典型案例为主线,研究1929—1935年中国新疆与德国的经贸合作,分析了当年中国新疆与德国贸易合作的背景和进展过程中的变化,并较深入地探究了其骤然终结的原因。

Due to the lack of sufficient archives,researches are scanty regarding the trade cooperation between China's Xinjiang and Germany during the republican era of China.This paper does a close reading of the original archives stored in Germany,particularly about China's Xinjiang's purchase of road rollers from Germany in the 1930s.It investigates the history of trade cooperation between China's Xinjiang and Germany from 1929 to 1935,analyzes the background and development of how the two parties engaged in the trade cooperation,and probes into the reasons behind the sudden decline in their cooperation.
