A Preliminary Study on the Story of SUN Simiao Treating The Tiger

通过全面搜集整理历代文献中孙思邈与虎有关的文学故事、宗教故事及一些涉虎的说法、典故、绘画、雕塑作品等,运用“历史演进法”对其逐一进行考证与梳理,并按时间顺序排布,分析探讨孙思邈与虎相关故事情节的前后演变关系,探寻故事演变的脉络,解析清代在民间药王孙思邈信仰中“坐虎针龙”这一有趣社会现象的形成过程。

Based on a comprehensive collection of literature and religious stories related to SUN Simiao and the tiger in historical documents,as well as some sayings,allusions,paintings,sculptures,etc.,by using Gu Jiegang’s“historical evolution method”,the authors undertook textual research and sorted relevant data in order of time.Through analyzing the plot threads of SUN Simiao and the tiger to explore the evolution of the storyline,this article revealed the formation process of the interesting social phenomenon that Sun Simiao,the king of medicines,was worshiped to“needle the dragon sitting on the tiger”by the folk in the Qing Dynasty.
