党的二十大报告明确提出发展全过程人民民主是中国式现代化的本质要求之一。从历史逻辑看,全过程人民民主扎根于中国实际,是在党领导推进中国式现代化过程中得以形成和发展的。从显著特征看,全过程人民民主充分体现了中国式现代化的人民性特征,是“属于人民的民主”“依靠人民的民主”“为了人民的民主”。新时代新征程,发展和完善全过程人民民主,对于保证中国式现代化的政治方向,促进中国式现代化的全面发展,凝聚中国式现代化的人民智慧,巩固发展中国式现代化的民主制度具有十分重要的意义。

The report to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) made it clear that developing whole-process people′s democracy is one of the essential requirements of Chinese modernization. From the perspective of history logic, whole-process people′s democracy was rooted in China, and was formed and developed in the process of Chinese modernization under the leadership of the CPC. From the perspective of prominent features, whole-process people′s democracy fully reflects the people′s character of Chinese modernization, which is "democracy belonging to the people", "democracy relying on the people" and "democracy for the people". In the new era and new journey, developing and improving whole-process people′s democracy is of great significance to ensure the political direction of Chinese modernization, to promote the overall development of Chinese modernization, to pool the wisdom of the people of Chinese modernization, as well as consolidate and develop the democratic system of Chinese modernization.
