体育锻炼对劳动供给的影响:促进还是抑制?

Impact of Physical Exercise on Labor Supply:Positive or Negative?

针对当前人口老龄化加速与出生率降低双重叠加、劳动力供给短缺与成本上涨局面,利用中国综合社会调查数据(CGSS),采用probit方法探讨体育锻炼对劳动供给的影响。增加体育锻炼有助于提高劳动供给,在克服内生性后这一结论仍然可靠。异质性结果表明,体育锻炼对劳动供给的正向效应因性别、教育、城乡和收入存在差异;机制检验进一步发现,体育锻炼通过提升个人健康资本和幸福感的中介变量间接促进劳动供给增加。体育锻炼对劳动供给的积极作用为应对当前劳动供给短缺的问题提供了重要抓手,可以通过提高劳动者参与体育锻炼的频次实现对劳动供给总量的提升。

Aiming at the problem of double superposition of the acceleration of population aging and the reduction of population birth rate,labor supply shortage and rising labor costs,utilizing the data of Chinese General Social Survey,adopting probit method to explore the impact of physical exercise on labor supply.Increasing physical exercise can improve labor supply,even after overcoming endogeneity.Heterogeneity results showed that the positive effect of physical exercise on labor supply is different due to gender,education and income.The mechanism test showed that physical exercise indirectly promotes the increase of labor supply through the mediating variables of improving individual health capital and happiness.The positive effect of physical exercise on labor supply provided a prominent path to cope with the shortage of labor supply.The total labor supply can be improved by increasing the frequency of their participation in physical exercise.
