Osteosarcoma is the most common primary malignant tumour and its treatment is mainly neoadjuvant chemotherapy combined with limb preservation surgery.Chemotherapy drugs have serious adverse effects and hepatotoxicity and nephrotoxicity.Under the guidance of the theory of Chinese medicine,chemotherapy drugs combined with traditional Chinese medicine can improve patients adverse symptoms and increase their survival rate.Studies have shown that Chinese medicine has the ability to promote apoptosis,enhance autophagy and inhibit the mitochondrial activity of cancer cells through various signalling pathways,as well as to sensitise chemotherapy and reduce the dose of chemotherapy,and the use of Chinese medicine and its compound formulas provides a practical solution for the treatment of osteosarcoma.
