德里罗的《天秤星座》表面上是对肯尼迪遇刺事件的虚构,但其深层指向的是媒介文化政治的问题。小说揭示了符号如何在微观层面运作以实现媒介意识形态对大众的操控,也洞察了以奥斯瓦尔德为代表的大众从意识形态的掌控中夺取符号权力的政治动能。本文基于小说中肯尼迪与奥斯瓦尔德之间“双生”关系的剖析,指出《天秤星座》指涉的并非当代媒介意识形态的操控性,或某种激进、颠覆式的社会变革,而是蕴含在以符号系统为表征的日常生活中的微观政治。当下西方父权制资本主义已显现出对激进行动强大的收编能力,在此情境下,德里罗的政治小说对当代的现实意义愈加凸显。

Don DeLillo's Libra,on the surface,is a fiction of the JFK assassination,yet it has the thematic implication which points to the issue of media cultural politics.The novel reveals how sign(power)operates at the micro level to realize the manipulation of media ideology,and it also perceives the political agency of the masses represented by Oswald,who seizes semiotic power from the manipulation of ideology.Based on the anatomy of the double relationship between Kennedy and Oswald,this article argues that Libra does not point to the manipulation of contemporary media ideology or some radical and subversive social change but to the micro-politics embodied in daily life as represented by the semiotic system.At present,western patriarchal capitalism has shown the powerful capability to incorporate radical action into its force.In this circumstance,the contemporary relevance of DeLillo's political fiction becomes increasingly prominent.
