Upholding the Principle of Developing Religions in the Chinese Context and Fostering a Strong Sense of Chinese National Community

我国是多民族、多宗教的国家,民族与宗教之间形成了相互交织的格局。铸牢中华民族共同体意识包含四个环节:中华民族共同体是在中华大地上历史地形成的客观事实,中华民族共同体意识是中华民族所包含的各个民族在抵抗外敌侵略过程中形成的共同的自觉意识,铸牢中华民族共同体意识是我国各个民族的共同的实践理念,铸牢中华民族共同体是党领导下的各个民族的实践活动。宗教工作与民族工作是交织在一起的,坚持我国宗教中国化方向,有助于铸牢中华民族共同体意识。

Our country is a multi-national and multi-religious country,in which ethnic groups and religions have formed an interweaving pattern.Fostering a strong sense of Chinese national community consists of four steps:The Chinese national community is an objective fact formed in the history of the Chinese land;the sense of Chinese national community is the common consciousness formed by all the ethnic groups included in the Chinese nation in the process of resisting foreign aggression;fostering a strong sense of Chinese national community is the common practical idea of all nationalities of our country;fostering a strong sense of Chinese national community is the practical activity of all ethnic groups under the leadership of the Communist Party of China.Religious work and ethnic work are interwoven.We should uphold the principle of developing religions in the Chinese context,which will help to foster a strong sense of Chinese national community.
