摘要
3GPP R17第三阶段的冻结标志着5G毫米波商用迈入了新阶段。毫米波相比中频波段在速率方面有数倍的提升,但毫米波的传播特性也决定了商用的难度。智能超表面(Reconfigurable Intelligence Surface,RIS)技术经过十几年的发展,成为电波传播领域重要的技术方向,论述了智能超表面的性能特征,探讨了5G毫米波部署中的应用方向。
The freezing of the third phase of 3GPP R17 marks that the commercial use of 5G millimeter wave has entered a new stage.Compared with the intermediate frequency band,millimeter wave has several times higher speed,but the propagation characteristics of millimeter wave also determine the difficulty of commercial use.After more than ten years of development,Reconfigurable Intelligence Surface(RIS)technology has become an important technology direction in the field of radio wave propagation.This paper discusses the performance characteristics of RIS and the application direction in the deployment of 5G millimeter wave communication.
