Xi Jinping's Crucial Exposition on "Agriculture,Rural Areas and Farmers"

党的十八大以来,以习近平同志为核心的党中央坚持把解决好“三农”问题作为全党工作的重中之重。习近平以青年插队和早期的执政经历为实践基础,立足中华民族伟大复兴战略全局和世界百年未有之大变局,围绕“三农”工作的历史方位与战略地位、中心任务与历史性转移、基本遵循与工作方法提出一系列新思想新观点新论断,形成了关于“三农”工作重要论述。该论述围绕实现农业农村现代化的总目标,提出具体的实践要求:以治理现代化为先导,加强和改善党对“三农”工作的全面领导;以农业现代化为基础,全面发展乡村产业;以农村现代化为支撑,扎实稳妥推进乡村建设。面向党的二十大提出的建设农业强国目标,要进一步保障国家粮食安全和重要农产品供给、巩固拓展脱贫攻坚成果同乡村振兴有效衔接、促进城乡经济循环,充分发挥“三农”在全面建设社会主义现代化国家中的“压舱石”作用。

Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China(CPC),the CPC Central Committee with Xi Jinping at the core has insisted that solutions to problems concerning agriculture,rural areas and farmers must be the top priority of the Party's work.Based on his practice as an "educated urban youth"in young years and the experience of early administration,Xi Jinping has put forward a series of new ideas and new conclusions,which have formed a crucial exposition on agriculture,rural areas and farmers in the face of the period of national rejuvenation and profound changes unseen in a century.This exposition is closely around the historical orientation and strategic position,central task and historical transformation,basic principles and working methods of agriculture,rural areas and farmers.Focusing on the overall goal of realizing agricultural and rural modernization,this exposition puts forward specific practical requirements:1)Strengthening and improving the Party's overall leadership over agriculture,rural areas and farmers with governance modernization as the guide;2)Developing rural industries in an all-round way on the basis of agricultural modernization;3)Making solid progress in promoting rural development under the support of rural modernization.Facing the 2oth National Congress of the CPC put forward the goal of building a strong agricultural country,we should further ensure national food security and the supply of major agricultural products,consolidate and expand the achievements made in poverty alleviation for promoting rural vitalization,speed up the economic cycle between urban and rural areas,as well as give full play to the role of agriculture,rural areas and farmers as a ballast stone in building a socialist modern country in all round way.
