东洋史学与日本汉学关系概述

A Discussion on the Relationship between Oriental Historiography and Japanese Sinology

日本东洋史学不是日本汉学,也不是日本中国历史文化研究的自然发展阶段。日本学界努力归入东洋学体系的明治以后的中国历史文化研究,实际至少包含了“东洋学”与“支那学”两条线索,而东洋史学是东洋学的主要内容。从学科、学会、学报和学派视角建立的基础认知出发,可以看到日本东洋史学是一种从支撑框架到讨论方法再到研究立场上全新的中国历史文化观察系统。在对中国历史文化的“批判”上,日本东洋史学与“支那学”思维一致,同时包含了明确的文化甚至政治诉求。

Japanese Oriental historiography is not Japanese Sinology or a natural development of the progress of Chinese historical and cultural research in Japan.The study of Chinese history and culture after the Meiji period,which the Japanese academy has endeavored to assimilate into the system of Oriental studies,actually contains at least two threads:“Oriental studies”and“Chinese studies.”Oriental historiography is the main element of the Oriental studies.From the perspective of academic disciplines,scholarly societies,journals and schools,Japanese Oriental historiography is a brand-new system of observations on Chinese history and cultures in terms of supporting framework,discussion methods and research stances.As for its“criticism”on Chinese history and cultures,Japanese Oriental historiography is consistent with“Sinology”,covering definite cultural and even political claims.
