跨国史视域下的1920年中日法互动与《四库全书》

Interaction of China,Japan and France on the SiKuQuanShu in the 1920s from the Perspective of Transnational History

20世纪20年代前后,北洋政府通过创办巴黎大学中国学院和影印《四库全书》来促进中法两国邦交,进而为国际舆论和外交活动提供文化上的声援与支持。然而这一借助《四库全书》展开的中法文化交流事件,在日本的某些报纸杂志上却被说成是“出售”《四库全书》,令北洋政府与法国政府在外交上都颇为被动。尽管在法国的支持下北洋政府决定影印《四库全书》,但又受种种错综复杂的国内外因素的影响,影印《四库全书》计划最终落空。本文从巴黎大学中国学院与《四库全书》、“出售”《四库全书》事件始末、中日两国围绕《四库全书》的舆论互动等方面梳理分析了这段历史,以还原真相,总结经验教训。

In 1920s,the Beiyang government tried to promote Sino-French diplomatic relations by establishing the China Institute at the University of Paris and photocopying the SiKuQuanshu,thereby providing cultural solidarity and support for international public opinions and diplomatic activities However,this cultural exchange event on the SiKuQuanshu was distorted by some Japanese newspapers and magazines as“selling SiKuQuanshu”,making the Beiyang government and the French government rather awkward diplomatically.Although the Beiyang government decided to photocopy the Siku Quanshu with the support of France,due to various intricate domestic and foreign factors,this effort was ultimately unsuccessful.This article analyses this history epoch from the aspects of the Chinese Academy in the Paris University,“selling”of the SiKuQuanshu incident,and the public interactions between China and Japan around the SiKuQuanshu,in order to restore the truth and draw some lessons Keywords:SiKuQuanshu;Institut des Hautes Etudes Chinoisesde Paris;China,Japan and France .
