著名作家巴金的小说《家》中,觉慧真正爱的是瑞珏和琴这样的小姐,但她们一个成了大哥的妻子、一个成了二哥的恋人,他乃暂时移情于眼前的丫头鸣凤。觉慧和鸣凤之间所谓的爱情不仅是高公馆主人和仆人之间的特定关系,而且也是存在于世间的男人和女人之间的一种普遍关系。
