The solar heat gain coefficient of building external windows is the main parameter to measure the solar radiation heat gain of building external windows.It has important value for the building energy efficiency.The paper mainly introduces the source and the definition of solar heat gain coefficient,the requirements for solar heat gain coefficient of external windows in previous domestic building energy efficiency design standards,as well as the calculation and the test method of solar heat gain coefficient.The purpose of this paper is to deepen the understanding of solar heat gain coefficient by industry personnel through the comprehensive description and analysis of solar heat gain coefficient.
