The Covid-19 Pandemic and the Construction of the Belt and Road Initiative

新冠疫情是当前“一带一路”建设面临的重大挑战。综合来看,疫情对“一带一路”建设造成的影响涉及项目进度、债务问题和人员往来等多个方面。但是,共建“一带一路”在相关各方的积极努力下,仍然体现出十足的弹性、韧性和活力,并在防疫合作、“丝路电商”、中欧班列和绿色复苏等很多方面取得突出进展。在后疫情时代,“一带一路”的高质量发展可以从推进应急行动措施向常态机制合作的转化工作、统筹“一带一路”建设中的发展与安全、引领经济全球化和合作性多边主义三个方面着手,以期将“一带一路”打造成为防控疫情的抗疫之路、恢复经济的复苏之路、守望相助的共同体之路。

In the post-pandemic era,it is advisable for the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative to start off from three aspects,namely transforming the promotion of emergency actions into a regular mechanism for cooperation,integrating development and security during the implementation of the Initiative,and directing economic globalization and cooperative pluralism,so as to build the Initiative into a road to prevent and control the pandemie,to achieve economic recovery,and into a community of mutual assistance.
