By editing and commenting on Asian American literature through thirteen works published during his lifetime,Harold Bloom has promoted the canonization of Asian American literature.On the one hand,he synthetically criticized Asian American literature as a whole to construct an increasingly perfect framework of the Asian American literary canon;on the other hand,he focused on the study of individual Asian American writers and works to elect four Asian American writers as the quintessential canonical writers in the history of Asian American literature.Bloom's Asian American literary criticism has not only promoted the local canonization of Asian American literature,but has also set an example for the world canonization of Asian American literature.
