This paper mainly describes the working principle and clearance adjustment method of DC disc electromagnetic brake for motor,explains the methods to select electromagnetic brakes,the measures to adjust and control air gap as well as the principle to control braking time and brake power supply.According to the poor phenomena probably existing in the process of installation and operation,this paper expounds the problems that should be paid attention to in the use of brake and analyzes the possible hidden trouble.
