空间叙事视角下《大地》中的黄家大院解读

Interpretation of Huang’s Courtyard in Pearl S.Buck’s The Good Earth from the Perspective of Spatial Narration

赛珍珠在小说《大地》中通过故事情节的不断推进,逐步构建了乡村空间、城镇空间和都市空间三大叙事空间。黄家大院是城镇空间中的重要场域,和乡村空间中的诸多场域以及城镇空间中的其他场域有着不可分割的联系和区别。黄家大院这个看似简单的城镇空间场景,却蕴含了诸多乡土文明发展中的问题,体现了现代城市化进程中部分城镇的真实现状。同时,黄家大院这一空间对于小说主题的显示、人物性格的塑造都有着不可代替的作用。

Through the continuous development of the plot,Pearl S.Buck gradually constructed three narrative spaces in her novel The Good Earth,namely rural space,urban space,and city space.A significant field in the urban area is Huang’s Courtyard,which is inextricably linked to and distinct from many fields in the rural area and other fields in the urban space.Huang’s Courtyard contains numerous issues with the development of local civilization and accurately portrays the current state of some towns in the process of modern urbanization.At the same time,the Huang’s Courtyard plays an irreplaceable part in illustrating the theme of the novel and shaping the characters.
