RenéLeroy is one of the greatest flute artists in the 20th century,the representative and pinnacle of the French flute school.As the first professional flute soloist,he greatly improved the artistic expression of the flute with his consummate skills,make the foundation for the flute to become a solo instrument.It also made a special contribution to the spread of the French flute school in the world,especially in the United States and North America.This paper introduces and summarizes the career of RenéLeroy,the art of playing and recording,the promotion and mining of new and old works,the theoretical writings and teaching ideas,teaching methods and talent cultivation,as well as the outstanding achievements and special contributions made by the French flute school in the dissemination around the world,etc.At the same time,it analyzes and reviews its unique artistic style of playing,teaching philosophy and methods.
