In Yan'an period,in order to save the difficult situation,the Chinese Communists mainly represented by Mao Zedong began the exploration and practice of diplomacy,and gradually gave birth to Mao Zedong's diplomatic view.This diplomatic view regards independence and self-reliance as the necessary prerequisite for foreign exchanges,regards seeking cooperation and foreign aid as the practical requirements for the development of foreign relations,and takes active publicity and seeking truth from facts as the necessary way to open up the situation of foreign exchanges.Mao Zedong's diplomatic outlook in Yan'an period has great practical value for promoting the diplomacy of great powers with Chinese characteristics today.It requires us to take safeguarding the national interests as the starting point,taking the leadership of the party as the key point,innovating the means of external publicity as the focus,and building the right to speak to the outside world as the foothold in our diplomatic work.
